ACEH - Benteng Indra Patra

Benteng Indra Patra adalah salah satu situs sejarah berharga di Aceh. Banyak cerita sejarah terjadi di benteng ini. Cerita heroik, intrik, perlawanan dan pemberontakan. Benteng yang terletak di Kecamatan Masjid Raya, jalan Krueng Raya, sekitar 19 km dari Banda Aceh, menuju Pelabuhan Kr Raya.

Benteng ini berukuran besar dengan konstruksi kokoh, berarsitektur unik, terbuat dari beton kapur. Saat ini jumlah benteng yang tersisa hanya dua, itu pun pintu bentengnya telah hancur terkena tsunami. Pada awalnya ada tiga bagian besar benteng yang tersisa. Benteng yang paling besar berukuran 70 x 70 meter dengan ketinggian 3 meter lebih. Ada sebuah ruangan yang besar dan kokoh berukuran 35 x 35 meter dan tinggi 4 meter. Rancangan bangunannya terlihat begitu istimewa dan canggih, sesuai pada masanya karena untuk mencapai bagian dalam benteng, harus dilalui dengan memanjat terlebih dahulu.

Benteng Indra Patra dibangun oleh Kerajaan Lamuri, kerajaan Hindu pertama di Aceh (Indra Patra) pada masa sebelum kedatangan Islam di Aceh, yaitu pada abad ke tujuh Masehi. Benteng ini dibangun dalam posisi yang cukup strategis karena berhadapan langsung dengan Selat Malaka, sehingga berfungsi sebagai benteng pertahanan dari serangan armada Portugis. Pada masa Sultan Iskandar Muda, dengan armada lautnya yang kuat dibawah pimpinan Laksamana Malahayati, sebagai laksamana wanita pertama di dunia, benteng ini digunakan sebagai pertahanan kerajaan Aceh Darussalam.

Pantai lampuuk mempunyai pasir putih yang sangat indah. Pantai Lampuuk terletak di pantai barat Aceh. Pantai ini cukup indah dan dapat digunakan sebagai tempat berenang, berjemur di pasir putih, memancing, berlayar, menyelam dan kegiatan rekreasi lainnya.

Pada saat sore hari pantai ini terasa lebih indah, Pengunjung dapat menyaksikan indahnya matahari terbenam, sehingga memberikan suatu kenikmatan tidak terlupakan.

Disekitar pantai Lampuuk juga berdiri megah sebuah pabrik semen Andalas, namun saat itu pabrik tersebut hanya tinggal kenangan setelah mengalami kerusakan parah akibat gempa dan Tsunami 26 Desember 2004 yang lalu.

Saat tsunami melanda Aceh, kawasan ini termasuk kawasan yang sangat parah kondisinya. Karena daerah ini terletak di bibir pantai dan di ujung pulau Sumatera, maka kerusakan akibat tsunami sangat fatal. Cukup banyak penduduk di daerah ini menjadi korban. Namun kini tempat ini telah dikelola kembali oleh pemerintah sehingga pengunjung dapat kembali menikmati keindahan pantai ini walaupun di pantai ini ada zona terlarang untuk berenang karena pusaran ombaknya yang terlalu berbahaya. Kawasan ini juga telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah daerah sebagai monumen tragedi tsunami.
